Exploring Yerevan with children doesn’t have to mean taking them on an Number of People sightseeing tour and hoping they stay interested. This private family tour is designed around places children can actually enjoy, combining animals, interactive experiences, optical illusions and sweet treats in one relaxed day.
The program lasts approximately 5–6 hours and can be adapted to your children’s age, interests and energy level. Since the tour is private, you can spend more time at the places your family enjoys most and keep the day comfortable for both children and parents.
1. The first stop is Yerevan Zoo, home to more than 120 species of animals and birds from Armenia and other parts of the world. The zoo gives children a chance to discover wildlife at their own pace and also hosts educational activities and programs throughout the year.
For visitors aged 3-69 – 2000 AMD, on MONDAY 1 000 AMD
2. Next, stop at Grand Candy Ponchikanots, one of Yerevan’s best-known places for freshly made ponchiks and Armenian sweets. Grand Candy is Armenia’s largest confectionery producer and is also known for setting a Guinness World Record in 2010 for producing what was then the world’s largest chocolate bar. It’s an easy and enjoyable break between the day’s activities.
3. The final main stop is the Museum of Illusions, where optical illusions, interactive exhibits and unusual visual effects turn the visit into something children can explore rather than simply observe. It’s a playful experience with plenty of opportunities for unusual family photos and is entertaining for both children and Number of People.
Upon request, we can add a dessert activity to the program, giving children another hands-on experience during the day. Availability and the exact activity can be confirmed when booking.
Because this is a private family tour, the itinerary can be adjusted according to your children’s age and interests. Let us know their ages when booking and we can adapt the pace and activities accordingly.
This isn’t a standard Yerevan sightseeing tour with a few child-friendly stops added. The day is planned around families from the beginning, balancing activities, breaks and entertainment so children stay interested and parents can enjoy the experience too.

Start the day at Yerevan Zoo, where children can see animals and birds from Armenia and other parts of the world. Instead of rushing through the park, your family can explore at a comfortable pace, giving younger travelers time to enjoy the animals and ask questions before continuing to the next activity.
Time for something sweet. Visit Grand Candy Ponchikanots, one of Yerevan’s best-known confectionery cafés, and try its famous ponchiks and other Armenian treats. This relaxed stop gives children a break between activities and gives the whole family a taste of one of Armenia’s most recognizable confectionery brands.
Optional lunch at a family-friendly restaurant with a children's menu in central Yerevan.
Step into a world where things are not always what they seem. Optical illusions, interactive exhibits and unusual visual effects encourage children to experiment, take photos and become active participants rather than simply observe. It’s a playful stop that works particularly well after the more traditional zoo visit.
A relaxed walk through central Yerevan finishing at Pinkberry or Ponchik-Monchik - the city's most popular spots for ice cream and treats - a fitting end to a sweet day.
