The State Museum of Nature of Armenia was founded in 1952 to showcase the wealth and uniqueness of the country’s natural world.

The museum’s collection includes over 6,000 exhibits, with around 2,000 regularly displayed in permanent and temporary exhibitions. Visitors can explore rare species of Armenia’s flora and fauna and learn more about the country’s natural resources and soil features.

One of the most fascinating parts of the exhibition is the collection of taxidermy specimens—ranging from insects and fish to birds, reptiles, and arachnids. The museum also features skeletons, skins, minerals, and geological samples, providing a comprehensive view of Armenia’s natural environment.
