1. Our first stop is The Cascade – An Architectural Wonder and Cultural Hub. The Cascade is not just a staircase connecting the upper and lower parts of the city — it is an open-air museum. Here you will find monumental sculptures by contemporary artists, charming terraces, and breathtaking views of Mount Ararat.
If you prefer not to climb the steps, you can take the escalator, which runs through the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, featuring exhibitions by international and Armenian artists.

2. Next stop is France Square – A Touch of Paris in the Heart of Yerevan. Descending from the Cascade, you will arrive at France Square, where several major avenues meet. Here stands a statue of Jules Bastien-Lepage, a gift from France to Armenia, and the surrounding cafés create a relaxed, European-style atmosphere.

3. Then we will walk to The Opera House and Swan Lake – The Cultural Heart of the City. You will see the iconic Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Theatre, designed by Alexander Tamanyan, the architect who shaped modern Yerevan. Nearby is the picturesque Swan Lake, whose shape resembles Lake Sevan. In winter, it becomes an ice rink; in summer, it is a lovely place to relax.

4. Continuing the walk, you will reach Northern Avenue, Yerevan’s main pedestrian street, full of life and energy. Here you’ll find luxury boutiques, stylish restaurants, street musicians, and artists — a place where modern lifestyle meets Armenian tradition.

5. From the modern avenue, you will turn onto Abovyan Street, one of the city’s oldest streets. It is lined with 19th-century buildings, elegant balconies, historic doors, and cozy restaurants set inside former apartments from the Russian Empire era.

6. Republic Square – A Symbol of National Unity. The highlight of the tour is Republic Square, the main square of Armenia. The buildings, made of pink and beige tuff stone, reflect Armenian architectural style with elements of neoclassicism. In the evening, the famous musical fountains create a magical show with classical, rock, and traditional Armenian music.
