Among other notable landmarks of Gyumri is a magnificent sculptural representation of Mother Armenia, located in Gorky Central Park. It honors the memory of those patriots who died during World War II.
The monument was erected in 1975 on one of the western hills of Gyumri and offers panoramic views of the city. The Architect is Rafik Yeghoyan.

Mother Armenia is a statue of a strong female figure holding a palm branch, symbolizing peace, and a capital from Zvartnots Cathedral, reflecting the continuity of Armenian cultural identity.
At the base of the statue lies the grave tomb of the unknown soldier and the eternal flame serving as a tribute to those who fell in World War II.
The site is not just a memorial but an enduring symbol of strength, peace, and national pride.
