Martiros Saryan Park is located in the heart of Yerevan’s Kentron administrative district—between Mashtots and Marshal Baghramyan Avenues, as well as Stepan Zoryan Street. It stands directly opposite Place de France and the famous Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Martiros Saryan (1880–1972) was one of the great artists of the twentieth century and a true master of color. “Color is a true miracle!” he once exclaimed. “In combination with sunlight, it creates the inner content of form and expresses the essence of universal being.”
The centerpiece of the park is an impressive six-meter statue of the great artist himself, a symbol of deep respect for his legacy in Armenian art.

Another notable piece is the sculptural group Men (2007) by David Minasyan, dedicated to the Soviet-Armenian film director Edmond Keosayan—installed on the 75th anniversary of his birth and the 35th anniversary of his iconic film Men. This bronze sculpture, standing 1.97 meters tall, was placed at the initiative of his sons, Tigran and David Keosayan.
On weekends, the park transforms into an open-air gallery with exhibitions and sales of works by contemporary Armenian artists. Because of this tradition, locals often refer to it as Saryan Vernissage. The park also offers comfortable benches, well-designed walking paths, and cozy cafés around its perimeter.
