Angel’s Canyon, also known as Hreshtakneri Dzor, is located in Armenia’s Ararat Province, about an hour’s drive from Yerevan. This striking natural canyon is famous for its red and yellow 10-15 metres tall rock walls carved into the gorge, creating a dramatic and colorful landscape.

It’s a popular destination for hiking, with the full trail being about 10.9 kilometers long and situated at an elevation of around 950 meters above sea level. Many hikers are drawn to this area for the beautiful views of the canyon. However, the most scenic part of the route—the canyon itself—can be reached after just a short 10–15-minute walk.
The round-trip hiking distance is around 4–5 kilometers, making it a manageable and rewarding route for nature lovers.
