The views from the sight are amazing, and we were lucky to catch the tail end of a wedding. This world heritage monastery would definitely deserve being invested in, Probably better with a guide, but there were a few there and I managed to overhear some interesting thngs.

UNESCO site
Library room, stone carvings, wonderful acoustics. Is not it is just perfect combination?The monastery itself seems almost to be in its original post usage state. It has really lovely frescoes and khachkars.

Beautiful Medieval Monastery
There were some holes on the wall, if you find a stone to perfectly fit and stay in a hole, you’re lucky,according to our guide. I did.

Haghpat is better
This was the 3rd of three Monasteries we visited while in Armenia, Not crowded and great explanations from the guide. It was an indescribable feeling walking over the tombs of monks as you enter the churches.
The inside was spectacular and there were beautiful all around it
