I wasn't sure what to expect from a full day dedicated to just one lake, but this tour completely won me over. The scenery is unlike anything I'd seen, the water changes colour as the day goes on, the air is crisp and clean, and there's a stillness about the place that's hard to describe. The climb up to Sevanavank Monastery is absolutely worth it. The view from the top stopped me in my tracks, the lake stretching out in every direction, mountains all around. The monastery itself has a raw, ancient quality to it. No fuss, no gilding, just stone and silence. We had lunch at a lakeside restaurant and tried the local trout. Genuinely delicious. The private tour made all the difference, no rushing, no group schedule. Our guide was warm, knowledgeable, and great company throughout the day. One of my favourite days in Armenia, without question.

An absolutely wonderful tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, bringing the history of both sites to life in a way that felt personal rather than textbook. The Arch of Charents was a highlight I hadn't anticipated, the view it frames across the Ararat Valley is simply breathtaking. And the Symphony of Stones? Genuinely one of the most spectacular natural formations I've ever seen. I'd heard the road to Garni was rough, but honestly it was perfectly fine, don't let that put you off. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Armenia. A must-do day out from Yerevan.
