Our private tour to Tsaghkadzor, Kecharis Monastery & Ropeway lasts 4–5 hours and is considered the most popular and beloved tour in Armenia. It also includes a stop for lunch (note: the price of lunch is not included in the tour cost).
1. Our first stop is the resort city of Tsaghkadzor, which name translates to “Canyon of Flowers.” It is located in the Kotayk region, at an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level. In winter, it’s known as a ski resort, while in summer it becomes a mountain getaway — a place to escape the heat of Yerevan. The city is about 30 minutes drive from the capital.
2. The next stop is the medieval Kecharis Monastery, founded in the 11th century and received its final architectural form during the reign of the Proshyan family in the 13 th century.
3. Then we will reach Mount Teghenis by cable car, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of Tsaghkadzor. At the top, you will have time to take photos, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and admire the scenery before heading back down.
